Growing Change is a not-for-profit organisation that connects socially isolated people with the community through growing, making and selling food.

How can you help?
Growing Change is looking for a range of volunteers including a content writer, program meal coordinator, chef, photographer and social researcher.

Primarily in Fremantle, WA. However, some roles can be conducted remotely.

When?
The program meal coordinator will be required twice a week, the other roles have no set time.

Orange Sky Laundry

Community

Orange Sky Laundry is the world's first free mobile laundry service for the homeless. It also connects the homeless to the community through encouraging conversations, opportunities and volunteering.

How can you help?
Volunteers are required at all locations to help with washing and spending time with homeless clients. Orange Sky is also looking for an administrative assistant, warehouse coordinator and washing coordinator at its Brisbane headquarters.

Aunties and Uncles Queensland is a mentoring program for disadvantaged children, helping them to reach their full potential.

How can you help?
Three experienced professionals willing to volunteer two to three hours of their time a week are required. These roles include an IT professional, a Social Media/Digital Marketing Specialist, and a Human Resources Specialist.

The Candlelight Gift

The dream of The Candlelight Gift is that no parent goes through the struggle of caring for a child in hospital alone.

How can you help?
Volunteers are needed to work at the Candlelight Gift’s The Day on the Green event. They will be required to assist in cooking, selling raffle tickets, setting up the stalls, supervising children’s events, and cleaning up.

Where?
The event will take place in North Epping, New South Wales.

When?
In September and December, 2016.

Animals

Animalia rescues and cares for injured native wildlife, and operates from the home of founder Michelle Thomas.

How can you help?
Animalia are always looking for volunteers to be trained and mentored. Volunteers assist with daily tasks including feeding the wildlife, cleaning enclosures and collecting leaf (food), amongst other roles.

Eco Barge Clean Seas helps protect the marine life and aquatic environment of the Whitsunday region.

How can you help?
Passionate volunteers are needed to collect and sort debris from the ocean, beaches and land to keep marine life safe. For turtles that get sick or injured, volunteers help to rescue and care for them at the rescue centre.
