Sunsuper has again cemented its position as one of the superannuation industry’s best performers by winning the SuperRatings Super Fund of the Year award for the second time in three years.
The award, which is one of the super industry’s most coveted, is granted annually by SuperRatings to the fund that offers ‘the best value end-to-end product offering’ for its members. The Fund also held the award in 2018.
Sunsuper secured the prize at last night’s 17th Annual SuperRatings and Lonsec Fund of the Year Awards dinner in recognition of its industry best performance against a broad number of key criteria, including member services, financial advice, fund governance, investment performance, and fees.
Sunsuper was also awarded the MyChoice Super of the Year 2020, which is awarded to the fund with the best value-for-money offerings for engaged members, as well as the Lonsec Investment Option Award, which recognises the most effective multi-asset investment option in the industry.
Sunsuper’s chief investment officer Ian Patrick said it was an honour for Sunsuper to accept these awards, which were testimony to the Fund’s singular commitment to its members.
Our members genuinely sit at the heart of everything we do and these awards are a significant recognition of the hard work our people do every day to help our members live the retirement of their dreams,” Mr Patrick said.
From responding to increased member demand for personalised digital capability, to enhancing our pension and financial advice offerings, to improving our governance framework, and delivering investment performance that places us among the industry’s best, we have not wavered in our ongoing efforts of recent years to enhance member benefits while spearheading the way super funds do business in the current environment.
We see it as our privilege to serve the 1.4 million Australians who trust us with their super savings and, while we won’t be resting on our laurels, it is a great honour to be recognised with these awards in such competitive categories against such a competitive field,” he said.
Sunsuper is also currently proud to hold Money Magazine’s Best Super Fund Manager award for 2018 and 2019, as well as its Best Featured Pension Fund for the last three years. The Fund is also one of only five funds to hold Canstar’s highest 5-star rating for outstanding value and Finder.com’s Best Super Fund – Growth for 2019.
Sunsuper is one of Australia’s fastest growing super funds with 1.4 million members and $69 billion in funds under management.
