Adviser data feeds FAQs

Answers to frequently asked questions about data feeds for advisers.

How do I register for data feeds?

Step 1: Log onto Adviser Online (AOL) and navigate to ‘Data Feed’.

Step 2: You will be taken to this page (see screenshot below), where you will ‘register’ for data feeds:

Step 3: Once you have entered the information requested, you will click ‘GENERATE’, which will then provide you with a code on screen (see diagram below). Note: The username entered must match the username in Xplan.

Step 4: This code needs to be entered into your advice software in the appropriate location along with the password you set in step 2.

Once you have completed these steps, you will be able to generate Data feed consent forms for your clients. You will need to submit a Data feed consent form signed by your client in order for the clients’ account information to be sent via the data feed. The Data feed consent form can be found in the ‘Start transactions’ tab of Adviser Online and will only become available after you have enabled your data feed.

Why doesn’t the member number on Xplan look like the one in AOL?

When a member has multiple accounts, the system shares the oldest open account with Xplan as the member identifier.

I am not getting any data?

Please note that after you have enabled data feeds, it can take up to 48 hours for data to show in Xplan.

I am not seeing any data in Xplan, and have waited 48 hours.

Is this for all members?

Option 1: Yes.

Step 1: Please contact Xplan to raise this issue.

Step 2: If you have raised this issue with Xplan and this has not been resolved, please contact Sunsuper on 13 11 84.

Option 2: No.

Step 1: Look to see if the member has revoked their consent by logging into AOL.

Step 2: If the member has revoked their consent, the member will need to sign a new Data Feed Consent form and it must be submitted to Sunsuper before Sunsuper is able to provide a data feed. The 48-hour period will apply once the form is received.

Step 3: If the member has not revoked their consent, please contact Sunsuper on 13 11 84.
