Sunsuper is proud to play a major role in bringing Brisbane’s most iconic event, Sunsuper Riverfire, to the community for the eighth year in a row. As a born and bred Brisbane company with more than 500,000 members and 50,000 employers based in Brisbane, we’re proud to bring to life Queensland’s largest fireworks display for everyone to enjoy.

When is Sunsuper Riverfire this year?

Sunsuper Riverfire marks the end of Brisbane Festival on Saturday, 29 September 2018. Entertainment will begin from 4pm, with the spectacular fireworks display starting from 7pm.

Where is Sunsuper Riverfire held?

The hub of Brisbane Festival is the South Bank Cultural Forecourt in South Brisbane. However, there are many other vantage points to view the Sunsuper Riverfire fireworks.

Vantage points

Spectators can observe the fireworks display from across Brisbane city, the best vantage points include: Victoria Bridge, South Bank, Kangaroo Point Cliffs, Captain Burke Park, Wilson’s Lookout, City Riverwalk, including Riverside Centre and Eagle Street Pier. Although for many fans the best vantage point is at home with family and friends watching the live coverage on Channel Nine.

Getting there

Sunsuper Riverfire draws crowds of thousands, we recommend planning your day ahead of the event if you choose to travel into the city. Information about road closures will become available closer to the event date.
