Returning to the river Saturday 25 September comes Sunsuper Riverfire, Queensland’s largest annual community celebration, proudly supported by Sunsuper for the 10th year.
As the biggest fireworks display Brisbane has seen in two years, Sunsuper Riverfire 2021 is a chance to experience one of the city’s favourite nights again – in a COVID-safe way – wrapping up three incredible weeks of Brisbane Festival for yet another year.
This spectacular event will open with a smoking ceremony led by Tribal Experiences Managing Director and Yuggera and Turrbal man Shannon Ruska.
The old favourites will return with a demonstration of flying prowess from the Australian Army and Royal Australian Air Force with their Army helicopter and gravity-defying aerobatics of the Roulettes.*
The skyline will come to life with an electrifying display across multiple bridges, barges and city rooftops with spectators able to tune into the Festival finale from Triple M’s live broadcast or Channel 9’s exclusive television coverage.
*Flying activities include Army helicopter displays and the Air Force Roulettes in the late afternoon and evening, subject to operational requirements.
