You can pay superannuation payments for an existing Sunsuper member without joining Sunsuper. But, of course you also miss out on the great benefits participating gives.
If you are paying for an existing Sunsuper member, and prefer not to join Sunsuper (i.e. become a participating employer), you can choose to be an unregistered employer.
As an unregistered employer, your payments will be allocated to your employee as an unregistered employer payment. This means the Sunsuper statement your employee will receive each year will show the payments you have made, but will not show they came from you.
BPAY is the preferred payment method for unregistered employers. Once you make your payment, you are issued a transaction number, which you can keep as receipt of you payment. Click here to get your BPAY reference number.
You can also send in a cheque and Contribution deposit form, with your details, member's full name, member number, payment type, payment amount and period details.
