Superannuation payment flexibility

We have a range of payment methods for employers to give you flexibility in how you send us superannuation contribution details and money.

To select the payment method that best suits your business, follow these 3 easy steps:

Step 1. Add up the number of employees you will be paying to Sunsuper for.

Step 2. Check which payment method best matches the number of employees you wish to pay for.

Step 3. Follow the instructions in "How to start."

Best suited to employers with: Contribution Option Payment option Benefits of this payment option How to start
1-3 members BPAY BPAY You do not need to send in a Contribution Return - your payments are allocated directly to your employee's Sunsuper account This payment method is for employers with 1-3 employees. You must make one BPAY payment for each employee for each type of contribution.

If you have 4 or more employees, we recommend you use Employer Online or Sunsuper's Contribution Return.

For existing Sunsuper employers, send us an email or call 13 11 84.

For new Sunsuper employers, select BPAY as your contribution method when you fill in your employer application form.

1-50 members Contribution Return Cheque Sunsuper's Contribution Return is sent to you either monthly or quarterly and is designed to be quick and easy to complete.

You will need to add the contribution amount for each member and send us a cheque for the total.
This is the default payment method for employers in Sunsuper. If you have not made a selection, you will automatically receive a regular Contribution Return.

1-50 members Employer Online - Web Input Webpay (Direct Debit) You can streamline your superannuation admin using Employer Online.

Employer Online makes it easy to:
  • enter and pay contributions
  • update your employee records
  • run and print reports
  • check your online transaction history.
For existing Sunsuper employers, fill in the Employer Online Webpay form.

For new Sunsuper employers, select Employer Online as your contribution method when you fill in your employer application form. You will also need to fill in the Employer Online Webpay form

More than 50 members Employer Online - Web Upload Webpay (Direct Debit) For employers who are paying for large groups of employees. Full details of your contribution can be uploaded from your payroll system. Call 13 11 84 to determine your eligibility to use this payment method.
Larger groups of employees Sunsuper Stream Webpay (Direct Debit) Sunsuper Stream is a "clearing house" solution offered to employers looking to meet their Choice of fund obligations. Call 13 11 84 to determine your eligibility to use this payment method.
